DUROCOAT Clear Undercoat Waterproof Primer
Solvent borne Waterproof acrylic primer with strong
adhesion. Ideal for exterior use on walls and terraces.
A clear, solvent based, acrylic undercoat, with strong
adhesion properties and high penetration, that is highly recommended as a
primer for emulsion paints, RELIEF, acrylics, cement paints and waterproofing
coatings. It is the perfect undercoat for exterior and interior use, ideal for
priming and stabilizing every new and old porous surface made of concrete,
plaster, bricks, wood, asbestos cement, wooden or plaster boards, as well as
porous surfaces coated with lime or poor quality paints. DUROCOAT PRIMER
provides water resistant surfaces with high vapour permeability and is superior
to linseed oil, because it has a very short drying time and does not cause
yellowing to the finishing paints
Application:
Stir well in the container and occasionally during use. Apply
by brush, or roller one coat of DUROCOAT PRIMER, thinned
up to 100% by volume with VERNILAC’s WHITE SPIRIT, on a
properly cleaned and prepared surface. For application on
roofs, apply one coat of DUROCOAT PRIMER, thinned up to
20% by volume, with VERNILAC’s WHITE SPIRIT. Do not
apply when air and surface temperatures are below 5oC,
above 40oC and/or humidity level is above 80%.
Coverage
For walls: 13-15 m2/lt. approximately, per coat, depending on
thinning and surface absorption. For roofs: 8-10 m2/lt.
